E46 Rear Coilover Reinforcement Plates

The E46 had rear cast aluminum arms which will not hold up to the load focused on the center with a coilover setup. Why is this? It was designed for a spring which would sit on a larger area (spreading the load over the arm). Coilover springs are not only smaller in diameter but are also usually stiffer. This means that the load will be focused in a much smaller surface and WILL brake the cast aluminum arms. Protect your self and your E46! Installation is simple. Just put our rear reinforcement kits between the spring and arm. Our plates will then spread the area the load is dispersed on making it SAFE to run coil-overs on your E46. Reinforcement plates are made from stainless steel so they are incredibly strong! Only 3mm thick (smaller then the factory rubber seat).

 

Sold in pairs. Price is for a pair (2 units). Enough to do 1 car.
